November Recipe Challenge
It's Wednesday! I guess my Monday challenge is better late than not happening. 🤦
Today's recipe is for a quick and healthier snack option.
Apple Pie "Salsa" with home made Cinnamon Chips...
Ingredients:
3-4 peeled & success apples
4 Tbsp. Butter- divided
1-2 tsp. apple pie spice plus 1/2 tsp
(separate)🍎
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 Tbsp. White or brown sugar
6 medium size flour tortillas
Heat oven to 350. Line cookie sheet with foil or parchment. Place the tortillas on tray, brush with 1-2 Tbsp. melted butter. Mix 3 Tbsp. sugar with the 1/2 tsp. Apple pie spice. Sprinkle sugar mixture over melted butter. Bake 8-9 minutes until heated thru. Remove from oven and cut into 6-pieces. Set aside.
While tortillas are in oven: place the diced apples, butter, spice and sugar into skillet or sauce pan. Heat on medium and simmer until apples are tender. Stirring constantly. About 5-6 minutes.
Pour apples into a dish and serve with tortillas. Makes about 6 servings unless you are like my family and this makes 2 servings!🍎
